REAL MEN'S MINISTRY

The Purpose

The Real Men's Ministry of Leesburg desires to see men live out a
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 life, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love." (ESV).

The Vision

The long term vision for the Real Men's Ministry at Leesburg is to see men become godly examples and disciple makers in their homes, their churches, and their workplaces. Overall, making a lasting impact on the world around them for the sake of the gospel.

Core Values

Our Foundation
I will be watchful. I will keep my eyes open and my armor on. I've got a real enemy, and I'm not sleeping on the battle for my heart, my family, or my brothers. I will stand firm. I won't back down, bow out, or sell out. My faith is not for sale. I am rooted in the Word, unshaken by the world. I will be strong. Not the world's version, but God's. I will take responsibility. I will reject passivity. I will lead with strength and humility. I will go first. I will do everything in love. That means I speak truth even when it's hard. I serve when no one sees. I forgive, I fight for unity, and I lay down my life for others, because He laid down His life for me. This isn't a slogan. It's a line in the sand. I am not just attending church-I am the church. And by God's grace, I will stand firm until the King comes back or calls me home.
Our Purpose
Churches are desperately needing men to step up from within the Church. Our purpose is to develop and encourage men to be the leaders, servants, and disciple-makers as they were designed to be.
Our Belief
We believe Jesus is our Lord, Savior, and perfect example by which to live life (Romans 10:9; Ephesians 5:1-2). When men take their faith seriously, the family will follow. In order to have strong families, churches, and communities, we need men who will take ownership of their own faith and share it with those around them.
Our Role
We provide multiple avenues for men to grow through studies, events, and accountability with other men.
Theology of Manhood
  1. "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love." - 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
  2. "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways." - 1 Corinthians 13:11
  3. "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." - Psalms 1:1-3
  4. "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself." - Ephesians 5:25-28
  5. "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17
